arrange for your telephone line to be made ADSL-ready with BTC.

modem and additional start-up equipment. Last you must purchase
a SoHoConnect DSL internet package as described above.

How can I change my password?

I can't get the full speed
of the DSL package I purchased.
The speed of your DSL connection is largely controlled by BTC's
local loop infrastructure and for packages greater than the DSL
Select package (256Kbps download) may vary depending on your location
on the island as well as time of day. You can test the speed of
your DSL connection using the speed tests at DSL
Reports.
Email
How many e-mail addresses can I have?
SoHoConnect Dial-up packages include up to 3 email addresses. SoHoConnect
DSL packages include either 3, 5 or 10 email addresses depending
on the package. Additional addresses can be ordered for a nominal

What is the name of the incoming and outgoing
mail server?
The name of both the incoming and outgoing mail server is mail.cwbda.bm.
Does the Web Mail have a Vacation or Out
of Office feature?
The SoHoConnect WebMail
does have a Vacation setting. When turned on, the Vacation setting
allows you to automatically respond with a prewritten message to
people emailing you when you are away from your email for long periods
of time. After logging into WebMail click on the Options button
in the WebMail menu. Click on the Vacation Message button to change
your Vacation settings.
How can I find out
how much room is left in my mailbox?
The SoHoConnect WebMail
can show you how much space is left in your mailbox on our mail
server. After logging into WebMail click on the Options button in
the WebMail menu. The Quota section will display your total mailbox
size as well as how much room you are currently using.
How
can I prevent spam from coming into my mailbox?
You can prevent unwanted email or spam from entering your mailbox
using SoHoConnect WebMail. Click
here to find out how to setup a spam filter.
I can
receive email but cannot send email?
This is most likely caused by the SMTP (or Outgoing Server) Authentication
setting in your email software not being enabled. Our server requires
this to be enabled in order to send email through our mail server.
Click here for information on how to
enable this feature for your particular email client. If you already
have SMTP Authentication enabled and use a version of Outlook Express
for Macintosh (Apple) computers lower than version 5.0.5, you will
have to upgrade. Although this setting is available in prior versions
it did not actually work until version 5.0.5 (released July 2002).
Download the latest version of Outlook Express for Macs from www.mactopia.com.
This problem can additionally be caused by having the MTU set too
high on your computer for some networked DSL configurations. Contact
the Techsupport Help Desk for assistance
in diagnosing and fixing this problem. This problem can also be
caused by Cisco brand firewalls as found on the Cisco ADSL Modem/Routers
which do not readily support Extended SMTP. Consult your Cisco documentation
for more information.
